Use

Place the incense stick in the designated holder. Then light the stick and let it burn for a short while. Extinguish the flame by waving your hand and let the stick only smolder. If you do not want to use the whole stick, you can extinguish it during smoldering by pressing the smoldering end part against a non-flammable surface.
