Fujara is a traditional Slovak musical instrument. Fujaras are large wooden flutes with overblowing, typical for shepherds from central Slovakia. It's notable for its deep sound and long length, usually between 90 and 200 cm.
The instrument has three finger holes and is played using an overblowing technique, which allows the player to produce a range of harmonic tones. The Fujara is considered a symbol of Slovak culture and is also part of UNESCO's world cultural heritage.
