Product description

Yerba Santa, also known as the healing herb, got its name from Spanish monks who valued its beneficial effects. It is used to honor ancestors and enhance mental abilities, while also helping with cough and other difficulties. The combination of sage and Yerba Santa brings synergistic effects, altering the state of consciousness. The leaves of this plant, which grows in southwestern California, give sage a milder scent and enhance their purifying abilities.

Heating herbal bundles, also known as smudge sticks or incense, have a long history of use. American Indians used them in ritual ceremonies to cleanse homes, ward off various diseases and repel evil spirits.

Today, these herbal bundles are primarily used for their purifying and disinfecting effects. They are used not only in meditations and prayers but also for cleansing spaces, objects, and auras from negative energies.

Use

Using these bundles is simple. The ignitable end is lit, then allowed to burn briefly before the flame is blown out. The bundle should be left to smoulder in a suitable vessel, such as a shell, small plate, or fireproof dish. The smoke from the incense can then be dispersed around the room using a hand or feather. After completion, the burning ends can be cut off and the rest of the bundle stored for future use.
