The vegetable brush is made from untreated beech wood and features two types of bristles – softer ones for cleaning fruit vegetables and firmer ones suitable for root vegetables.
To remove potentially harmful nitrates from the surface of the vegetables without reducing their volume by peeling, simply use this brush to remove any possible contaminants, dirt, and surface grime. It comes in handy when cleaning carrots, parsley, cucumbers, celery, beetroot and other vegetables. It is also suitable for cleaning new potatoes.
Care: Before first use, we recommend oiling the wooden part of the brush with table oil and repeating this process occasionally. This will ensure a longer lifespan for the brush. It is advisable to store the brush with the bristles facing down so that water can drain off and the wood does not darken. Additionally, we recommend not leaving the brush submerged in water for a long time to prevent cracking of the wood.
