This Ocean Drum - a hand-held frame drum, has a natural goat skin on both sides. Inside the drum, there are steel balls.
To play the ocean drum, tilt or rotate the drum forwards and backwards, causing the balls to roll over the drum skin. The rolling balls create a sound similar to the gentle, rhythmic lapping of ocean waves.
