If the darbuka is supplied with a transparent head, minor scratches are always visible on the head, as each darbuka is tested after manufacturing by playing.  Even one play leaves traces on the transparent darbuka.

However, with each darbuka you will automatically receive one spare head in the package. All darbukas are 100% new. 

Darbukas should be played regularly for the first few weeks after purchase, this way the head will fully set and the true beauty of this excellent darbuka's sound will emerge.
