The Slovak End-blown Flute is a unique folk musical instrument. The End-blown flute is the younger sister of the fujara and is made from elderwood. The natural growth of the elderwood influences the sound and shape of the end-blown flute. The larger the end-blown flute, the deeper its tone.
The end-blown flute has a sound rich in overtones, pure and dreamy.
Height: approx 90cm
Tuning: G
The end-blown flute is played by blowing, so you can modulate tones with breath pressure and improvise completely intuitively, even without prior knowledge. By covering the bottom end, you gain another tonal scale.
The end-blown flutes in our offer are of the highest quality and made by a traditional Slovak master in an old tradition. Each instrument is unique in its shape, some of them are lovingly carved. The surface of the end-blown flute is treated with linseed oil. This emphasizes the naturalness of the elderwood of the end-blown flute and at the same time protects it from moisture.
These end-blown flutes are beautiful in sound, shape, and craftsmanship.
The large G-tuned end-blown flute has a beautiful full and deep sound, making it suitable for slow, meditative playing and calming down. To play well, it has a drilled head and is blown from the side. It is 90cm long, so it requires longer hands. From our experience, we know that it is suitable for people at least 175cm tall.
Each end-blown flute is a handmade original, lovingly made so it may be slightly different from the photographs.
