The Slovak flute Koncovka is a unique folk musical instrument. Koncovka is the younger sister of the fujara and is made from elderwood. The natural growth of the elderwood influences the sound and shape of the koncovka. The larger the koncovka, the deeper its tone.
The sound of koncovka is rich in overtones, pure and dreamy.
Height: approx 65cm
Tuning: C
The koncovka is played by blowing, so you can modulate the tones with your breath pressure and improvise completely intuitively even without prior knowledge. By covering the lower end, you get another tonal range.
The koncovkas in our offer are of the highest quality and made by a traditional Slovak master in an old tradition. Each instrument is unique in its shape, some of them are lovingly carved. The surface of the koncovka is treated with linseed oil. This emphasizes the naturalness of the elderwood and at the same time protects it against moisture.
These koncovkas are beautiful in sound, shape and workmanship.
Koncovka tuned to the fundamental tone C - is probably the most popular koncovka. Due to its size, it is still usable even for smaller people. This koncovka has a very pleasant sound and has many harmonic tones. It is easy to control and is also very suitable for beginners.
Each koncovka is a hand-made original, lovingly made so it may be slightly different from the photos.
