The Slovak Koncovka flute is a unique folk musical instrument. Koncovka is the younger sister of the fujara and is made from elder wood. The natural growth of the elder tree influences the sound and shape of the Koncovka. The larger the Koncovka, the deeper its tone.
The Koncovka has a sound rich in overtones, it's pure and dreamy.

The Koncovka is played by blowing, so you can modulate tones with breath pressure and improvise completely intuitively even without previous knowledge. By covering the lower end, you get another tonal scale.
The Koncovka flutes we offer are of the highest quality and made by a traditional Slovak master in an old tradition. Each instrument is unique in its shape, some of them are lovingly carved. The surface of the Koncovka is treated with linseed oil. This highlights the naturalness of the elderwood of the Koncovka and also protects it from moisture.

The D-tuned Koncovka is a universal Koncovka and has possibilities for fast lively play + deeper overtone tones are starting to appear. It's still small and can be easily packed. Suitable also for complete beginners.
