The Slovak Koncovka flute is a unique folk musical instrument. The Koncovka is a younger sibling of the Fujara and is made from elder wood. The natural growth of the elder wood influences the sound and shape of the Koncovka. The larger the Koncovka, the deeper its tone.

The Koncovka is played by blowing, so you can modulate tones by the pressure of your breath and improvise entirely intuitively even without prior knowledge. By covering the bottom end, you get another tonal range.
The Koncovkas in our offer are of the highest quality and crafted by a traditional Slovak master in an old tradition. Each instrument is unique in its shape, some of them are lovingly engraved. The surface of the Koncovka is treated with linseed oil. This emphasizes the naturalness of the elder wood of the Koncovka and protects it from moisture.

The A-Koncovka has a wonderful full and deep tone, making it suitable for slow, meditative playing and calming down. It is 78cm long, so it requires longer arms. From our experience, we know it's suitable for people at least 175cm tall.
