100% Mint essential oil is a distinct and strong oil with high menthol content and has the same therapeutic uses as peppermint. Some pharmaceutical preparations use essential oil from the flowers, for example in cough drops, herbal teas and syrups, especially in the form of menthol. It is also used in soaps, toothpastes, detergents, cosmetics, perfumes and industrial fragrances. It is used in the food industry to flavor confectionery, liqueurs and chewing gum. However, it is mainly used to isolate natural menthol.

It is excellent for body scrubs and a refreshing bath as well as in skin products, shampoos, conditioners and other body care products. In combination with Shea butter, it creates a fantastic foot cream. Mint is also often included in insect repellents, because menthol tends to repel smaller insects.
